i would tend to completely disagree with that proposal: artists, for a very long time, have elected to function in collaboration with other experts. take for instance the example of the print workshop or the foundry. through a collaboration comes a different type of knowledge and another type of production or proposal. there is no reason to think that producing digital projects be different than having a fabricator build your work, or, earlier in times, a founder cast your work.
